From Thermal Mineral Processing to High Volume Industrial Food Processing.

Our attention has been taken recently with thermal mineral processing, with one plant producing a Supplementary Cementitious Material (a cement substitute) from paper sludge in the last stages of commissioning. A second plant, which will calcine waste clay (also to produce a Supplementary Cementitious Material) is undergoing assembly and installation.  In the meantime and by way of contrast, we have also been supplying technology for high volume industrial food processing.  Our 42nd large-scale dryer has been commissioned. It is reducing the moisture of distillers’ grains, a by-product of the production of ethanol that is used as an animal feed, from 62% moisture to 7%.  This is a new application of our drying technology in the food sector. The 43rd, to be used for drying animal protein, is in fabrication. Our dryers display the characteristic of all Torbed processors: energy efficiency and consistency of product.
