Supporting Industrial Decarbonisation Strategies.

Our processors use a wide range of fuel to create the heat required for the process they are undertaking. Some are direct fired, using the material being processed as a source of energy. Others use external sources of energy: electricity, natural gas or even LPG or oil. As the world seeks to understand how to decarbonize industry, our all-electric machines will continue to replace gas or oil-fired machines across a range of processes. Our ability to combust hydrogen or ammonia further extends our support for industrial carbon substitiution by avoiding CO2 emissions in high temperature applications. As hydrogen becomes more widely available for use as a fuel, our technology can adapt to it.

For very high temperature applications we have developed techniques for direct injection of gas into a TORBED processor. We sold our first commercial machine using these techniques with natural gas in 2000. It is still operating nearly 25 years later. We look forward to designing a TORBED processor with gas injection using hydrogen.
