On Monday morning (15/7), a plant for the treatment of paper sludge arrived on site in France. Seen here being disassembled after its factory acceptance test and preparatory to being packed onto six lorries, this plant will calcine paper sludge and produce a cement substitute together with heat to generate power. This is a practical step on the road to de-carbonising a foundation industry.
